The centre for the Study of Contemporary Art, University College London, in collaboration with the V & A, is organising an international conference to coincide with the exhibition Figures and Fictions: Contemporary South African Photography.
To be held on 24 and 25 June 2011.
Speakers include Achille Mbembe, Michael Godby, Jo Ractliffe, Joy Gregory, Zwelethu Methethwa, Roelef van Wyk, Sarah Nuttall, Ashraf Jamal, Darren Newbury, Elizabeth Edwards, Saul Dubow, Annie Coombes and Christopher Pinney. Other participants are yet to be announced.
