Happy Hour and Navy Pier
Judgment Day at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre (2:30pm-4:30pm)* Emmy and Tony Award-winner Jason Alexander (of Seinfeld fame) makes his Chicago stage debut in a hilariously irreverent world premiere comedy staged by Broadway director Moritz von Stuelpnagel and written by award-winning TV screenwriter Rob Ulin. Alexander plays Sammy Campo, a staggeringly corrupt, morally bankrupt lawyer who's threatened with eternal damnation by a terrifying angel after a near-death experience. In a desperate attempt to redeem himself, Sammy forms an unlikely bond with a Catholic priest who is having his own crisis of faith. Filled with razor-sharp wit, this deliciously devious comedy rollicks through the timeless questions of Western philosophy—“morality,” “faith,” and “Are people any damn good?”
Navy Pier Sightseeing (2:30pm-4:30pm) This is an alternate event to the matinee performance of Judgement Day. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as we explore sights and exhibits on the pier.
Happy Hour at Bar Sol (5:00pm - 8:00pm) Bar Sol, the newest restaurant on Navy Pier, features vibrant Latin-inspired food, lively music, and spectacular lakefront views Your first drink is on us!
