About the Speakers

Saskia Petit

BSc Social and Political Studies, 2009

Saskia has always been passionate about solidarity, social work and humanitarian and environmental action. After growing up in several countries, including six years in India, her motivation to participate in these types of projects around the world continued to develop.

After her studies, she joined the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) in the Philippines and then went to Geneva where she joined the Fondation pour Genève.

She integrated the NGO OneAction during its first year of operation to develop the organisation and its educational and environmental projects in Geneva and abroad. Saskia has now been working for OneAction for 9 years and is currently Projects Director.
