Exhibitions

Talk to scientists about the latest discoveries, follow the history of the Universe, find out about distant solar systems, stars and galaxies, and try out telescopes for yourself (weather and resources permitting)!

Regular exhibits:

The Your Universe exhibition takes place in the North and South cloisters of the main UCL Wilkins building. An example of our exhibits are highlighted below, but please note that the list is not definitive and may be subject to change.

Classification of Galaxies

3x3 Grid of galaxies images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope
Join us to learn how scientists categorise galaxies based on their shapes and physical features.

Cosmology

Illustration of the expansion of the universe
Cosmology brings us the largest scale of the Universe, both in space and in time, by studying the Universe as a whole, its origin, development and eventual fate. Learn about black holes, dark energy and ghostly dark matter.

Extrasolar Planets

Artist impression of an exoplanet system
Discover some of the methods that astronomers use to detect planets around other stars and learn about the fascinating potential for life outside our own Solar System.

The ESA JUICE mission

ESA Juice mission
Find out more about ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer mission, JUICE, and discover what insights the mission could give us into the evolution and habitability of icy worlds.
