Anomaly detection in video data
BSc e-Commerce Engineering with Law in BUPT&QMUL (2007-2011)
MSc Statistics in UCL (2011-2012)
I'M ORIGINALLY FROM...
WHY I APPLIED TO THE SECURITY SCIENCE DTC
During the final project for my MSc Statistics degree, I found myself more and more interested in data analysis for public security and surveillance. I'd like to integrate security and statistics together as my future research field, especially in the field of anomaly detection analysis. The four-year programme in SECReT definitely provides me with a precious opportunity and platform to achieve this. The featured first-year taught modules and third-year external internship will not only allow me to learn about multidisciplinary approaches, but also give me opportunities to acquire specialist knowledge in the field I choose.
I'm interested in statistics, machine learning with the application of image, video-based data analysis in intelligent surveillance for the objective of detecting, recognizing and learning abnormal behaviours.
WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT STUDYING
Travelling, cooking, enjoying the beautiful life in London
MY CAREER ASPIRATIONS
After the completion of my PhD in SECReT, I would like to apply my research outcome in industry or public service.
WHAT KIND OF PARTNER ORGANISATION I'D LIKE TO WORK WITH AND WHAT I'D LIKE FROM THEM
I would welcome any organisation and individual with similar research interests.
