Mobilising community resilience through techno-social innovation

This research explores the interface between technological innovation and community resilience, examining ways in which the increasingly widespread use of mobile phone technology can be utilised to enhance the resilience of communities against both natural disasters and man-made threats. It explores ways in which technology can be developed to promote community resilience, the effectiveness of these techno-social innovations and the ways in which societies can be encouraged to mobilise to enhance both resilience and responses to emerging crises, as well as the legal and ethical implications surrounding these issues.
