Have you ever wondered how research can inform policy decisions? Are you unsure of the best routes for engagement with public policy? Do you want to know more about when and how to communicate research to policymakers?

The popular series for UCL research staff continues on Thursday 25th May with a focus on building relationships with local government and issues in local communities.

The UCL Public Policy event will bring together Professor Peter John, Vice-Dean for Research, Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences, UCL; Sophia Looney, Director, Sophia Looney Associates; and, Toby Blume, Co-Founder, Social Engine Ltd.They will be discussing their experience of academic-policy interaction in designing nudge policies to improve services and communicate better with citizens, and offering their views on the complexities of policy engagement.

Come along for your chance to ask the experts about the opportunities and pitfalls in engaging with the world of policy, find out the insights they have gained, and hear what they consider are the key lessons for successful engagement.

The seminar will be followed by a sandwich lunch and opportunity to network.
