Physics & Astronomy Gala Dinner 2013
Professor Jon Butterworth, Head of Physics and Astronomy, is delighted to announce the first Physics & Astronomy Department Gala Dinner on Friday 25 October 2013.
From our modest beginnings in 1827 when the newly established UCL Council approved an apparatus payment of £200 to experimental physicist Professor Dionysius Lardner, to our current successes; the Gala Dinner aims to bring together alumni, students and staff for a celebration of what has fundamentally made this Department a success- you!
The total cost for the event will be £40 per person and is inclusive of a welcome drink, three-course dinner with wine, coffee and petites fours.

6.00pm: Welcome Drinks
6.30pm: Welcome speech by Professor Jon Butterworth (Head of Department) followed by the student awards ceremony
7.15pm: Dinner service
9.15pm: After-dinner speech by Mrs Charlotte Nichol (nee Waterhouse). Charlotte graduated in 2000 with an MSci Physics degree. She has had a distinguished career as a physics teacher and is currently Deputy Head of St Augustine's School, Kilburn.
