Professor Jon Butterworth, Head of Physics and Astronomy, is delighted to announce the Physics & Astronomy Department Gala Dinner on Friday 24 October 2014.

The Gala Dinner aims to bring together our alumni, students and staff for a celebration of what has fundamentally made this Department a success- you!

Date: Friday 24 October 2014

Location: Ambassadors, Bloomsbury. Further details will be included in your e-ticket upon confirmation of your booking.

Price: £45 per person, inclusive of a welcome drink, three-course dinner with wine, coffee and petites fours.

Booking closes: Friday 26 September 2014

Dress code: Smart

Places available: 48 Alumni, 27 Students, 20 Staff, guests are welcome

6pm: Welcome Drinks

6.30pm: Welcome speech by Professor Jon Butterworth (Head of Department) followed by the student awards ceremony

7.15pm: Dinner service

9.15pm: After-dinner speech by Dr Chris Lintott, Oxford University/BBC 'Sky at Night’.

Expressions of interest were kindly requested by Friday 8 May 2014 so nominal places were reserved for these people, but you will still need to book through the official system once it opens.
