NIHR to fund medical statistics studentships
5 October 2012
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is funding another 16 studentships for Masters in Medical Statistics in a continued bid to build research capacity in medical statistics.
Institutions which are already have an established Masters course in Medical Statistics are being invited to tender for funding for up to 4 studentships a year for an initial period of 3 years.
Funding for the studentships include funding to support tuition fees and provide a student maintenance stipend at a level equal to that provided by the MRC.
The aim of the scheme is to deal with the lack of individuals with sufficient training and expertise to support current volumes of applied health research.
