Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Whether you’ve just joined UCL Geography, or are an existing student or staff member, these pages aim to give you access to the resources you may need whilst studying or working with us.

Seeking help, especially in an institution as big and complex as UCL, can be daunting. We would like to make it as easy as possible for you to access appropriate information and help, inside or outside of the Department of Geography. We have compiled a resource of contacts and services that you can access at UCL.

The Department of Geography aims to create a welcoming, fair, and accessible environment, open to all and free of bias, discrimination, prejudice and intolerance. We aim to learn from the students and staff that work in our department, and we welcome ideas and suggestions on how to make the department more inclusive. Should you feel that you have encountered, or been subject to, an instance of sexism, racism, classism, homophobia, transphobia or religious belief, or if you have been discriminated against on the basis of your disability or sexual, gender, ethnic or social identity, please contact either Dr Caroline Bressey or the relevant contacts in the pages below.
