Join the community
Our students are an integral part of the Centre for the Forensic Sciences and are a buzzing community full of ideas, energy and innovation. We regularly come together in research groups to share learnings and progress across projects, facilitate reading groups to keep us at the top of our game, and invite the best from academia and the practitioner community to join us for our well known seminar series.
But the community doesn’t stop within the walls of the Centre. Our ethos is to be collaborating with leading researchers from across UCL, other academic teams and industry, all working together in pioneering forensic science research.
Working together across boundaries
Our interdisciplinary approach goes to the heart of what we believe forensic science to be – the application of the highest quality science, social science and humanities that work together across the whole domain of forensic science. We were set up with the express purpose of crossing disciplinary boundaries to harness the tacit knowledge from one of the world’s leading research universities all working together to achieve our vision.
Our approach is distinctive with a real focus on how to think, to interpret, to innovate. We’re actively working with lawyers, psychologists, statisticians, computer scientists, archaeologists, anthropologists, geographers, geologists as well as biologists, chemists and the medical sciences. At the Centre for the Forensic Sciences, you’ll have a truly interdisciplinary experience.
