All off-air recordings (films, documentaries, lectures) are now available to UCL students and staff from home. You will need to login with your UCL user ID and password.
The SAC will be closed between the 19th of December and the 5th of January.
The Self-Access Centre (SAC) enables users to supplement class-based language learning with self-study, in their own time. It is available to UCL students and staff only.
The SAC contains a large number of books, films, documentaries, course videos and audio recordings in a wide range of languages. Many of the online resources can be accessed via these web pages (e.g. lectures, films, TV documentaries). You will need to login with your UCL user ID.
You are advised to use Internet Explorer 9 or above, Chrome or Safari. Other browsers may also work but may have limted functionality. Use the above menu to browse or search our catalogue. Start by selecting a language.
Some materials are only available from within the SAC. Here you have access to a wide range of computer based and paper based activities. There are 30 computer terminals with access to the full catalogue of video and audio materials, and satellite and terrestrial TV and radio. Some activities allow you to complete exercises and receive feedback on your performance. A SAC assistant is always available for advice and technical help. Introductions to the SAC facilities can be arranged on request.
Monday - Thursday: 8.30 am - 9.45 pm
Friday: 8.30 am - 7.45 pm
Saturday: 10am - 4.45 pm
