Funding Opportunities

See what research funding is available

Although an independent Centre, the CDCN is closely allied with the Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychiatry (CNN) section in the Developmental Neuroscience Research and Teaching Department.

What are our aims?

  • To bring together staff with an interest in neurocognitive development.
  • To facilitate collaboration between basic and clinical scientists.
  • To create opportunities for translational research.
  • Raise the profile of developmental, behavioural and cognitive neuroscience research with a view of securing major funding.
  • Provide high quality teaching and training.

What do we do?

  • We organise our seminar series, usually consisting of ten 1-hour seminars spread over the months of October-July.
  • We bring researchers together for networking and exchange of ideas during our annual international symposia.
  • We publish training and grant information as well as news relating to the field of developmental cognitive neuroscience.
  • We advertise research participation opportunities to the general public.

Who are we?

CDCN steering committee, chaired by Professor Faraneh Vargha-Khadem, is responsible for the direction of the initiative.
