UCL Academic Writing Support Network
Support for staff and students interested in developing students' writing at UCL
The aim of the UCL Academic Writing Support Network is to gather together all those at UCL involved with, or interested in, helping develop students' writing. Our hope is that this network will provide an opportunity for people to share the work that they are doing and contribute to a wider discussion about student writing.
We will be running 2 events this academic year. Everyone is welcome so please register your interest below and leave your name and email address.
- Writing for Assessment, 16th January 2014, 13.00-16.00 in Engineering Front 103 & 104 Executive Suite
- Open Discussion on Supporting Student Writing, 1st May 2014, 13.00-14.00 in Foster Court 132
Please note that the session scheduled for the 16th January 2014, on Writing for Assessment, will now take a different format. We will be producing a video and invite discussion via comments on the video.
Teaching & Learning Portal
This space on the Teaching and Learning Portal provides a bank of resources including an electronic reading list. All these features will be revised and built up over time, so please visit the page regularly to stay updated.
Resources and Case Studies
If you have any useful resources you would like us to share with UCL colleagues then please get in contact. We are also interested in hearing about writing initiatives that we can write up as case studies.
