An Audience with Mark Prisk – Minister for Business and Enterprise
28 September 2010
On the 21st September Mark Prisk came to UCL to speak to an audience gathered together by Capital Enterprise (the membership body for deliverers of enterprise support in London). He gave an enlightening and forthright speech, and then participated whole heartedly in a Q&A session on the future of Enterprise support and the priorities of his Department of Business.
The audience seemed to connect with the minister, who in turn seemed to connect with them, breaking the stereotype of evasive politicians! The event was thoroughly enjoyable and engaging; and worked to highlight both how active and committed the London network of enterprise support is, and the interest that Mark Prisk has in their cause.
Despite the limitations imposed by the approaching government spending review he spoke with clarity, conviction and honesty. One attendee described the information from the event as “one of the best summaries of the new direction of travel of the new government”.
