Unions heading for dispute with UCL. Following
discussions with HR, it is clear that UCL have no intention of making
significant changes to the redundancy payments scheme to restore payments for
long serving staff to the levels they previously received. 01/02/07 UCL Senior Reps to meet with HR. The Branch Chair, Secretary and Vice-Chair will be discussing several issues (including the redundancy pay changes) with UCL HR in a meeting at 11am on Thursday 8th February. To enable members to compare the redundancy pay they would get under UCL's new scheme with what they would have received before, we have developed a spreadsheet which they can use. At a well attended Branch meeting yesterday, the members voted unanimously on a motion condemning the changes made unilaterally by UCL to the enhanced redundancy payments scheme. Click here for the motion. Extraordinary Branch Meeting - Thursday 8th February 2007, 1-2pm in the Biochemistry Lecture Theatre, Darwin Building, UCL.
