Here are some burning issues: (I will no doubt think of more):
How can the field of interaction move on from questions about interface
and programmming? Can interaction become a dialogue about space, place
and people, develop into a philosophy, or an art of conversation with
syntax, grammar, depth and meaning?
Why is so much electronic art occupied with the one-liner, or cool
cleverness?
What are the alternatives to the art/science split - do electronic
artists need to be engineers - or do engineers need to become artists?
Will the desktop metaphor finally decay into oblivion - what might
replace it?
