Grey Matter:

[Section of stairs]
Acute edge. To a point worn. And
then a slam into edge, about a
sharpness. In on the shape, abruptly
beneath.

Void and then more, flat to a crease,
and in that, cracked like a river.
Steep.

And then a pole, leaning into a
flatness under a dip, and three
others, leant and fitted.

Lump without voice,
bulbous, turnable.

Flatness to hand, falling sideways
with moans.

Cave without walls, quiet, save for
being warped. With four meeting
points. In ascent, halted.

Rim without lid, and cupped. But
fat, clear innard. Lost without edge.

Peg to bowl. Holes neighbouring.
Therein. And end.
