UCL Division of Medicine is the largest department in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, bringing together clinical and basic scientists to achieve medical breakthroughs in areas such as inflammation, biomedical imaging, biomedicine and nutrition.

We are at the international forefront of biomedical research and our ‘bench to bedside’ approach ensures that our research doesn’t just evolve in the labs but we work with clinical colleagues to reach patients. Our research aims to understand the basis of disease, and to develop better diagnostics and treatments for diseases with an emphasis on experimental medicine. We are also proud of our relationship with top partner hospitals and institutions including the Royal Free and UCLH.
