Liverpool and Trinidad merchant, partner with Henry Scott (q.v.).

  1. NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore carried on by us the undersigned, in Trinidad, in the British West Indies, under the firm of Crabtree, Scott, and Co. and in Liverpool, in the county of Lancaster, England, under the firm of Crabtree and Scott, is dissolved, by mutual consent, from and after the 1st of October 1844; and all debts owing by or to the said concern will be paid and received in Trinidad by Henry Scott, and in Liverpool by Joseph Crabtree: As witness our hands.   2. Possibly but not certainly the Joseph Crabtree of Wavertree who died 18/01/1865, probate 02/03/1865 leaving £80,000, who was described as 'retired foreign merchant' and 'retired merchant' in 1851 and 1861 (born Halifax Yorkshire c. 1791).
