Son of Richard Neate (whose will as Major HM's 57th Regiment of Foot of Hadley Middlesex made in Trinidad in 1798 was proved 19/06/1801).

PROB 11/1359/228. The will is three lines long and made his wife (given as Elizabeth in the will but as Maria in the probate) his universal legatee. The linkage between Charles O'Hara Neate and Richard Neate dying of Trinidad is drawn from online genealogical sources that usually give him as 'Charles O'Hara (Ottara) Neate', but the baptism record for 1794 [database online] is pretty clearly Charles O'Hara, Ancestry.com, London, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812 for Charles Ottara Neate Barnet St Mary the Virgin, Monken Hadley 1619-1812.
