Resident slave-owner. Will of Mary Barrett widow of Bow Wood St Vincent proved 27/11/1850. Under the will she left her land at Bow Wood to her nephew William Gordon Shiell of Montserrat, on condition that he allot £15 p.a. to the support of 'my adopted child Mary Ann (the supposed natural offspring of my nephew Bernard Gordon Robinson)' until she was 16, with £100 to her on her marriage. Other property, including that inherited from her sister Harriett Gordon, was left to her niece Marianne Robinson.

Member of the Baillie of Dochfour family who had numerous mercantile connections in the West Indies. The compensation for Baillie's Bacolet in Grenada was awarded to the trustees of her marriage settlement. Grand-daughter of Colin Roy Campbell of Glenmure. Apparently a victim of the quack doctor John St John Lang of Harley Street in 1830.
