Frances Shipman

???? - 1774

Francis [sic] Shipman was the purchaser in 1774 of an annuity of £100 p.a. on the lives of Ann Leathers [sic] Johnston and Ann Todd secured on the Nevis property of John Abel Ward (q.v.). Frances Shipman died very shortly after her purchase. By 1837 the annuities appear to have ceased without arrears.

  1. Will of Frances Shipman spinster of St Marylebone proved 08/09/1774. She left her entire property to her niece Ann Johnston, the daughter of Nicholas Wollaston Esq. and of Frances Shipman's late sister Ann, and made Ann Johnston, then a widow, her sole executrix. LBS has not yet traced Ann Johnston nee Wollaston beyond the will of her father Nicholas Wollaston [made in 1763 and proved in 1773]: she possibly remarried after 1774.
