Biography

Keeper of the Spanish Town Gaol. Died 1725 aged 50 - although a second inscription gives his death in 1730 aged 42.

Two monumental inscriptions in St Catherine Cathedral: MR. JOHN CHILDERMAS DIED 1699 AGED 33: RACHAEL OB: 1720 AET 15 ; & SEBRAN LARSON HER FATHER OB. 1725 AET 50. and SEBRAN LARSON DIED 1730 AGED 42 MARY HIS WIFE 1725 AGED 50 . RACHAEL THEIR ONLY DAUGHTER 1720 AGED 15.

Sebran Larson of St Catherine, gentleman. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1731. Slave-ownership at probate: 41 of whom 23 were listed as male and 18 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £2030.31 Jamaican currency of which £1312 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £0 currency debts and £45 currency plate.
