Thomas Harper of Port Royal, merchant. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1763. Slave-ownership at probate: 161 of whom 97 were listed as male and 64 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £43357.69 Jamaican currency of which £7503 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £827 currency cash, £29966.72 currency debts and £245.14 currency plate.

"In 1773 a private act was passed to enable William Jackson Esqre., the guardian of Joanna Harper (then an infant) the only daughter and heiress of Thomas Harper late of Port Royal, merchant deceased, to sell a piece of land at Mosquito Point in St. Catherine, part of the estate of said Thomas Harper."
