Biography

The will of David Dalgleish of Westmoreland, Gent. was proved in Jamaica 23/05/1783. In it, he bequeathed £50 sterling to his niece in Britain. The residuary legatee was Dorcas, aka Elizabeth Wills of St Mary, a "free mulatto woman... who lives with me."
