Biography

The will of Robert Farnham of Kingston, Merchant was proved in Jamaica 19/01/1775. To Esther Colliard, of Kingston, free mulatto woman who currently lives with him: 200P J, two enslaved boys and all his furniture. "I give and bequeath unto Lucy Austin a free quadroon Child and in case of her death then to go to the aforesaid Esther Colliard the sum of one hundred pounds current money".

Total value of estate at probate: £1390.03 Jamaican currency of which £110 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £899 currency cash, £317.4 currency debts and £2.5 currency plate.
