Biography

Richard Patterson of Vere, planter. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1711. Slave-ownership at probate: 47 of whom 27 were listed as male and 20 as female. 13 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £1445.76 Jamaican currency of which £1027 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £295.02 currency debts and £6 currency plate.

Tentatively identified as the Richard Pattison who owned a plot of land on the west side of Lower East Street in Kingston in 1702.
