John Lewis of Westmoreland, Esquire. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1769. Slave-ownership at probate: 429 of whom 256 were listed as male and 173 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £48098.51 Jamaican currency of which £24690 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £24.98 currency cash, £18765 currency debts and £56 currency plate.
