Will of William Cock merchant of St Bartholomew Guadeloupe French Empire [born in Lancaster aged about 59 years] [made in 1825] proved 21/02/1829. In the joint will with his wife Ann Mary Cock born Fabio they left slave-property in the Caribbean and his estate at Knowl in Lancashire to their children (William Henry Cock, Eliza French born Cock, Alexander John Cock and Edward Cock), subject in the case of the English property to annuities of £30 p.a. each to his two sisters, Mary Cock and Sarah Threlfall, secured on Knowl. Possibly but not necessarily the mortgagee of Andrew Lynch French for enslaved people on St Kitts.
