175A-D - £311 15s 6d went to each of Christian Gray, J. Wemyss, R. Wemyss (all dated 29/02/1836) and F. Deas (dated 26/09/1836); 175E - £155 17s 9d went to H. Thompson; 175F - £103 18s 6d went to G. Brown senior; 175G - £51 19s 3d went to G. Brown junior (175E-G all dated 10/0(?)/1836).

T71/870: claim by John Wemyss, of Scotland, as part owner-in-fee and agent to the heirs of James Moise [sic]. Counterclaim from Francis Deas and Charles Gulland, as trustees of a 'Band of Provision executed by Janet Maule sister of James Moyes and dated 11th May 1820 against 1/5th of the compensation'.

T71/1608: letter, dated 28/04/1837, from William Maule Sunnybank, Falkland, Fifeshire, Scotland, stating: 'James Moyes late of (Cornwall) left my mother Janet Moyes or Maule one fifth share of  his estate Hermitage and as I am her only son whatever slave money may belong to me I want it to remain where it is as the Settlement made by my mother is very doubtful'.

T71/1594 p. 57: letter, dated 05/05/1837, to Wm. Maule, stating: 1/5th was paid out to Francis Deas, no longer our problem.
