T71/860: claim from Edward Owens. The awardees were beneficiaries under the will and annuitants etc. Ann Burt Owen (of York Street, Portman Square, relict of Edward Owen) counterclaimed, apparently unsuccessfully, as an annuitant for £300, but may have been subsumed by H. Owen, as executor.

T71/73 p. 298 and p. 299: William Turner and Thomas Mason registered 75 enslaved persons and 227 enslaved persons in 1832, as executors of Edward Owen (deceased).

T71/1608: letter from Meredith & Reeves re. Manchester claim nos. 113 and 114 referring to the Jamaican and English executors, stating: 'it is not only convenient but absolutely necessary that the English executors should receive the compensation to answer the purposes of the will'. T71/1188: Thomas James, of Clements Inn; Humphrey Owen, of Upper Montague Street, Marylebone, London; and Rev. Edward Owen, of East Hall in the parish of Orpington, Kent, were acting executors of Edward Owen.
