The book, 'Enhancing Learning and Teaching with Technology: What the research says' is an edited collection of essays exploring how technology can support teaching and how different technologies can enhance learning.

Published by UCL IOE Press, the collection offers guidance on learning and teaching practices backed up by evidence and vigorous tested research.

Split into six parts, the first two parts provide a set of learning principles and an account of some of the factors that influence how and when learning takes place, and the range of technologies that can be used to support learning.

The remaining four parts of the book offer more detailed accounts of four important educational challenges that technology may help to address. This includes questions on how we use technology to engage learners to learn; how we support learners to get the best from their technologies; how we can use technology to support adult learners, and how technology can be used to support teachers.

Professor Luckin's book launch comes following her participation at the Bett 2018 conference, where she spoke in an event that launched the Bett Innovation Index. The Index is annual temperature check for innovation in education, following a large scale survey to explore global approaches to innovation in education.

The event is one of a number of talks exploring latest technology at the conference, with other sessions offering insights to online safety, AI and the future of digital learning.

'Enhancing Learning and Teaching with Technology: What the research says' was released on Wednesday 25 January 2018.
