IOE hosts productivity workshop

25 August 2017

The Centre for Learning and Life Chances in Knowledge Economies and Societies (LLAKES) and the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) are hosting a workshop on productivity, growth and innovation on Thursday 28 September

The workshop provides an opportunity for new research findings on productivity, growth and innovation to be presented and discussed. It is expected to be of particular interest to policy-makers and other researchers who are working in these areas.

Rebecca Riley, from the NIESR and LLAKES, will investigate how firm-specific knowledge assets contribute to the differential productivity performance of firms, both as individual factors of production and in combination with other factors.

Geoff Mason from LLAKES will assess which skills contribute most to absorptive capacity, innovation and productivity performance, using evidence from the US and Western Europe.

Date and time: Thursday 28 September, 10:00-12:15.
Location: 2 Dean Trench Street, Smith Square, London, SW1P 3HE
