Dr Chris Brown wins award for outstanding international research
24 November 2016
We are delighted to announce that Dr Chris Brown has won the Jeffrey V. Bennett Award for Outstanding International Research.
The award recognises Dr Brown's recent research paper, which looks at how school leaders can encourage their schools to engage with research and use evidence-led teaching.
The paper spotlights the change in England's education policy from New Labour's top-down approach towards evidence use to the Conservative government's focus on schools themselves sourcing and sharing effective practice.
The Jeffery V. Bennett Award was established to recognise outstanding international researchers contributing to a global understanding of the international study of school leadership.
Dr Brown was presented with his award during the UCEA Convention in Detroit on 17 November 2016.
