The ICEDC annual conference is a meeting place for scholars, researchers, graduate students, education policymakers, and civil society activists from across Europe and internationally to present and discuss research and policy relating to education for human rights and democratic citizenship.
This year, we are excited to welcome Professor Sonia Livingstone (LSE) as the keynote speaker. She will be speaking on the topic of children's rights in digital environments.
Papers presented will address human rights in schools and community in various global contexts. Human rights include children's rights. New themes for this year include:
- Educational responses to populism and authoritarianism
- Digital citizenship
- Hate speech
- Inclusion of minorities
- Curriculum and textbooks
