Life course trajectories of mental health and wellbeing
26 October 2016, 12:00 pm–1:00 pm
Room G20, UCL Institute of Education, 55-59 Gordon Square London WC1E 6BT
There is evidence from several sources that psychiatric disorders and positive mental wellbeing show life course trajectories; and much is being elucidated about the predictors of these trajectories.
In this talk I will draw mainly on evidence from the adult British birth cohorts, with a focus on Common Mental Disorder (anxiety and depression), externalising problems, cognitive function, and positive wellbeing.
