Peer Observation of Teaching

UCL's policy of Peer Observation of Teaching (see Academic Manual) is designed to maintain high standards of teaching through a system of self-regulation and mutual support within departments.

Members of staff are free to invite any colleague to observe his/her teaching. It is expected that this should take place once each academic year. Observation should be recorded on the appropriate form, which should then be passed to the Departmental Administrator for filing. The observer will discuss any comments he or she may have with the observee.
