Adolescent Identities: The Untapped Power of Young Adult Literature (YA)

DIS's Dr Melanie Ramdarshan Bold will work on a project, entitled 'Adolescent Identities: The Untapped Power of Young Adult Literature (YA)', after winning UCL Grand Challenges funding (under the mega-theme: Adolescent Lives). The project, which will bring together researchers from UCL and Warwick University, and also engage with key book industry players, will explore how  reading YA, especially 'diverse' YA, helps adolescents craft their identities to better negotiate their real worlds, finding ways and places where they fit in.
