THE UCL EXPEDITIONS
AND TRAVEL COMMITTEE
Expedition Grants
UCL Expedition Grants have been awarded to allow students to undertake challenging team exploration to areas of the world, which require unique skills of organisation and teamwork. Expeditions are undertaken by a group of UCL students under difficult circumstances, requiring skills of organisation and initiative. Good expeditions need to have clearly defined objectives and a well-researched region of travel. Local contacts, good quality topographical maps and a range of skills within your team (e.g. first aid, mechanic, and logistics) are essential.
For the award of an ETC Expedition Grant an expedition leader must be nominated who must be a registered UCL student who will normally be expected to continue on his/her programme of study at UCL at the next normal occasion following the completion of the expedition (i.e. the nominated leader can not therefore be in his/her final-year of study). Details of elibility for Expedition (and Travel) grants are available here.
Application Procedure
The ETC will not be making awards in the 2017/18 academic year.
