Welcome to the Office of the Vice-Provost (Development). Our role is to work with the academic community to raise significant philanthropic funds for UCL and to develop a world-wide network of supportive alumni and other friends to help UCL achieve its goals.
Currently we are in the midst of the university’s biggest ever philanthropic giving Campaign that aims to support the university’s 2034 strategy by raising more money and engaging more people our work than ever before.

- Leadership Team
Leading the 'It's All Academic' Campaign and the strategy for philanthropic engagement are the senior leadership team of the Vice-Provost Office (Development).

- Alumni Relations
UCL has a global alumni community of more than 200,000 former students. The UCL Alumni Relations team provide services to alumni and UCL departments to support this lifelong relationship. Former students and staff can register for the Alumni Online Community (AOC) in order to access benefits and communications. Visit the alumni website
- Strategic Philanthropy
The Strategic Philanthropy team lead the fundraising activity to support the UCL 2034 strategy. A dedicated team of fundraisers build relationships with individuals, trusts and foundations and corporate organisations to help secure philanthropic support for the institution.
- Strategy and Operations
The Operations team plays a central role supporting the philanthropic activities of UCL with services in data, research, gift processing and administration. In addition to this the team help focus the activity by providing expertise in strategy and planning.
- Supporter Communications
The Supporter Communications team service the communications and events needs of the office. The team produces communications for our supporters such as the annual magazine Portico, regular e-newsletter, coordinates media coverage, social networks and all other print and digital content. The events team produce bespoke events for alumni and supporters including gala dinners, stewardship receptions and cultivation lunches and breakfasts.
- Campaign Team
The Campaign team are dedicated to overseeing the strategy and implementation of the Campaign for UCL. They act as ambassadors for the Campaign with internal and external audiences ensuring that everyone can share in the vision and make the Campaign the biggest philanthropic success in UCL's history.
- Projects and Proposals
The projects and proposals team work with UCL academics to identify institutional fundraising priorities. The team then work with the strategic philanthropy team to write fundraising proposals for these projects in the hope of gaining philanthropic support.
