We have shown in a meta-analysis of 12 randomised trials that chemotherapy does not improve survival. Current evidence does not support neoadjuvant chemotherapy for oesophageal cancer.

Spiral CT perhaps detects cancers that would never otherwise become symptomatic-also, normal homeostasis may involve anti-angiogenic processes much more widely.
