In November, we will be running a series of online information sessions for Year 13 students to get more guidance on the application process and university life.
Join us online for our information sessions to receive additional advice and guidance before you start your university journey. As part of our series of events, you will:
- Learn about choosing the right degree programme for you
- Receive advice on personal statements and how to make your application stand out
- Find out more about managing your finances while at university in London
- Hear current UCL students talk about their university experiences

- Choosing your Degree Programme: Sciences
Date and Time: Tuesday 14 November 2023, 4 - 5pm
Are you studying science subjects at A-level (or equivalent) and undecided on what you’d like to study at university?
Join this session to find out how to choose the right programme for you. You will hear from current UCL students studying various science degree programmes and learn more about how they made their choice. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
- Choosing your Degree Programme: Arts & Humanities
Date and Time: Thursday 16 November 2023, 4 - 5pm
Are you studying arts & humanities subjects at A-level (or equivalent) and undecided on what undergraduate course to study?
Join this session to find out how to choose the right programme for you. You will hear from current UCL students studying various arts and humanities degree programmes and learn more about how they made their choice. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
- Writing your Personal Statement
Dates and Times: Tuesday 21 November or Thursday 23 November, 4 - 5pm
Do you know how to structure and write your personal statement?
In this session, you will receive guidance on how to structure and write your personal statement. Our current UCL students will also share their top tips and you will have the chance to ask them questions.
(Please note, we have two dates available for this topic and the content covered in both will be the same.)- Managing Your Money at University
Date and Time: Tuesday 28 November, 4 - 5pm
Want to learn more about managing your money at university?
In this session, find out how to navigate the financial challenges of student life in London. Our Student Funding Team will provide further information about the funding options available to students and you will also receive vital tips from current UCL students on managing your money. At the end of the session, there will also be a Q&A section.- Life of a UCL Student

Want to know more about studying at UCL?
Hear first-hand from a range of undergraduate students about their experiences of studying at UCL. This is a great opportunity to find out more about student life at the university and ask our students questions about their university experiences.

All eligible applicants who meet at least one of the shortlisting criteria specified in points 2 to 6 on the Who we work with webpage will be offered a place on this programme.
