We are grateful for access to shared facilities for atomic force microscopy (Bruker Dimension Icon), disc centrifuge for nanoparticle characterisation (CPS Instruments), differential scanning calorimetry (Perkin Elmer DSC8000), dynamic light scattering (Beckman Coulter DelsaMax Pro), Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy (Bruker Vertex 70), nanoparticle tracking analysis (Malvern Nanosight), nuclear magnetic resonance (UCL Chemistry suite with 4 Bruker Avance instruments), scanning electron microscopy & focussed ion beam (Zeiss Orion NanoFab), small-angle X-ray scattering (Saxslab Ganesha 300 XL), transmission electron microscopy (Jeol 2100 200 kV) and thermogravimetric analysis (Perkin Elmer Pyris1).
