Student Society

The UCL Q-Step Student Society is for all students interested in quantitative methods and data science. Their aim is to build links between UCL Q-Step students and people and organisations working in data science.

The Society organises social and fundraising events to enhance the student experience. Their events bring in external speakers from public, private and third sectors - bridging the classroom and the world of work. They also organise film viewings, sports activities and data hack-a-thons.  Society events are a great way for Q-Step students to build connections across the four departments.

The Society also runs a Student Buddy Scheme, where first year Q-Step students are matched with a second or third year student who provides mentor support.
