Post-doctoral Training Day - 3rd June 2014
UCL’s Public Engagement Unit and Organisational Development created a Post-doctoral Training Day in Public Engagement Skills, which took place on Tuesday 3rd June 2014.
The day included introductions to public engagement, project management, and evaluation of public engagement projects. There was also an opportunity to attend 1 of the following 3 workshops:
- Workshop 1: Taking part in public events and festivals
- Workshop 2: Community engagement and facilitation skills
- Workshop 3: Digital public engagement and social media

Venue: Pullman St Pancras (100-110 Euston Road)
Participants were eligible to apply for our Train and Engage funding scheme, which provides grants of up to £1,000 for activities that involve people outside the university.
To be eligible for funding from Train and Engage, applicants must either attend the Train and Engage workshops, the Connecting with the Public course offered by the UCL Graduate School in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology Studies and UCL's Public Engagement Unit, or the Post-doctoral Training Day offered in collaboration with Organisational Development and UCL's Public Engagement Unit.
The deadline for Train and Engage was Friday 11th July 2014 (5pm).
