Sensory systems

Research in this theme is concerned with the analysis of sensory and perceptual information in the brain by human observers and animals. We study the perceptual mechanisms underlying the encoding of motion, spatial pattern, faces, time, touch and gaze behaviour. Techniques used include visual psychophysics, eye movement recording, motion capture, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), multi-electrode neurophysiology and computational modelling.
