UCL Summer School enjoys successful year

The

ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/study-abroad-ucl/summer-school">UCL Summer School 2017 has come to an end and enjoyed considerable success with almost 400 students representing 47 nationalities and 200 universities enrolling on credit-bearing modules from across UCL's faculties.

The programme, which runs in July and August each year, is divided into two three-week teaching sessions meaning students can study for three or six weeks, take one module per session, and transfer credit back to their home institution.

The Summer School draws on UCL's academic strengths in a range of subject areas and is unique in London in its academic offering. Modules are encouraged to use London as a learning space and many include excursions or field visits in and around the city. Examples of experiential learning opportunities available to students include guided literary tours on the Literary London module and hands-on experience in the operating theatre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) at Stanmore on the module Nerve Injury Treatment: Medicine, Science and Engineering.

The Summer School is led by the UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE), working with Student Recruitment and Marketing (SRM) on the  marketing and student recruitment. 550 students are expected to enrol in summer 2018.
