Diversity Month February 2012: call for speakers

24 November 2011

We are currently calling for UCL speakers to showcase their research as part of Diversity Month in February 2012.

The deadline for expressions of interest is Friday 2 December 2011.

Diversity Month takes place every February and aims to raise awareness and engagement with equalities and diversity issues at UCL. The events aspire to stimulate debate and showcase UCL and other relevant research. For examples of last year's events please visit the UCL equalities and diversity website

Next year's theme is based on UCL's Grand Challenge of Human Wellbeing. The Grand Challenge of Human Wellbeing encompasses:

  • the nature of humanity
  • what constitutes human wellbeing
  • how to achieve lifelong wellbeing for individuals and for society, including physical, mental, social and environmental wellbeing
  • how to achieve wellbeing in the context of different social and economic goals and priorities
  • topics relating to happiness, cultural wellbeing, health and social justice.
