Temporary move of UCL Special Collections now complete

2 September 2011

UCL Special Collections has been moved to a temporary home at the National Archives in Kew.

Biblia Latina The dedicated Reading Room for UCL at Kew will be open by the end of September.

UCL Special Collections, comprising UCL's collection of rare books, manuscripts and archives, is being found a new home in UCL as part of the Bloomsbury Masterplan for the UCL estate.

A great deal of work has been involved in preparing the collections. Seven kilometres of material has been moved from 140 Hampstead Road to their new temporary home.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who generously gave up their time to volunteer during this important project. You have all made a very valuable contribution to its success.

Details of UCL Special Collections can be found here.
